Answer the following question
ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS IN THE PARAGRAPH.
- I designed Module 4 using some instructional activities inspired by the Behavioral Learning Theories. These instructional activities include:
- Providing a video clip at the beginning of the lesson;
- Providing you with the module objectives in the study guide;
- Instructor’s presentations on the contents;
- Bonus point activities;
- Discussions in the forum (prompts in the main post, comments on your post, my feedback on your post, grade of this discussion forum etc.);
What were the instructional activities in Unit 4 reflective of the behavioral learning theory? How? I provided an example below. I hope the example helps you understand this question.
In Module 4, I gave out bonus points. This is an example of operant conditioning. The bonus points served as positive reinforcers and they could increase the occurrence of or strengthen the quality of desired behaviors. The bonus points (positive reinforcers) encouraged some of you to volunteer and make mini-presentations and thus you deepened your understanding of the BLT concepts.
- In Module 5, you are introduced to a few instructional theories and models that are inspired by BLT: Programmed instruction, mastery learning, computer assisted instruction, and criterion referenced instruction. Choose one theory/model and discuss how to apply it in your work setting. Remember to use example(s) to illustrate your application of the theory/model.
