So you have created a logo for your organization, created a book cover for the CEO and a poster to help advertise the book or company. But in today’s world, digital marketing is the most effective way to communicate a message to a specific audience. For your final project you are required to create three digital marketing projects, that marketers typically use on a daily basis:

  1. A Webpage Mock-Up
  2. Web Banner – 728px x 90px
  3. Web Banner – 300px 250px

IMPORTANT: Do all three as SEPARATE Illustrator files to start. You need to do this because you have to export the web banners separately. You can import the web banners into the final Web Mock Up.

 Additionally, you need:

  • Sketches for all of the above
  • A design statement explaining your concept and process at least 1 page long, with no spelling or grammar errors.
  • All images in all files MUST be embedded into the Illustrator files
  • All text must be converted to outlines. Make sure you spell check all text before converting to outlines unless your brand was approved when you developed your logo.
    • CRITICAL— save an additional copy of your file BEFORE converting to outlines so you have the original.
  • Final Files (3). 
    • ONE illustrator file with all three elements inside. (see sketch below)
    • Export the 728x90px banner as a PNG file, by using the Save for Web function under file. Use the PNG-24.
    • Export the 300x250px banner as a PNG file, by using the Save for Web function under file. Use the PNG-24.

Webpage Mock-Up:

  • Dimensions: 960px x 900px (generally your height could be anything, but for this project we will use 900px)
  • You have been using inches so far for all your projects. For this project use pixels.
  • Color: RGB (Red, Green, and Blue).
    • You have used Pantones for the logo in project 1, and CMYK for the poster and book cover.
    • When selecting the file type choose RGB and change logo and book colors to RGB (see video)
  •  The web page must contain the following:
    • A mockup or drawing
    • Your Logo
    • An image for the homepage
    • Some text that you have written about the company (headline and body)
    • At least 5 navigational links on the top
    • Add your 2 PNG files of the Web Banners once they are complete.

  • Dimensions: 728px x 90px
  • Use elements from poster or book cover
  • One image or graphics from book
  • Headline
  • Body text

Web Banner (300 x250px)Can advertise either book or company or an event. Place on the right side of the webpage. Align with the top of the image.

  • Dimensions: 300px x 250px
  • Use elements from poster or book cover
  • One image or graphics from book
  • Headline
  • Body text
  • (CTA) Call to Action button (Read More/ Register/ Look here/ Download Free copy)
