Does your organization have a Values Statement

This is a forum question in my management class that needs to be answer with at least 150 words. I would like for it to be in your own words, if not please cite-in-text with reference.

Class, I always enjoy hearing real-life examples. This reminds me of the third basic building block of strategy- Values. Organizations should publish a formal Values Statement that describes what it stands for, and the guiding principles.

Whenever the organization is faced with a strategic decision, it should be viewed through the lens of the Values Statement- is the proposed action in concert with organizational values.
