Geopolitical communities are formed by either natural or human-made boundaries. Phenomenological place refers to the psychological part, describing individuals with similar culture, spiritual beliefs, education, values, and goals. Geopolitical and phenomenological places are categorizations which are relevant regarding community approaches. They allow community nurses to adopt more accurate strategies during community assessment (Schnal et al., 2017). When conducting a community assessment, public health nurses need to considered people within the community, boundaries, and the environment. Getting a full picture helps to create appropriate interventions for the specific community.
