Synthesize your knowledge about the Civil War, assignment help

You must answer three of the five (5) questions. Your essays should properly cite all your sources using APA format. Answers should be 1-2 pages (250-500 words) each.

  1. Explain the roots of the Civil War in the sectional crises and conflict over slavery in the 1850s. Was war inevitable at that point or were other resolutions possible?
  2. Explain and chronicle the shift in Lincoln’s thinking about the continuation of slavery from secession to the Emancipation Proclamation. How and why did his thinking shift over time?
  3. Compare and contrast the eastern and western theaters of the war up through 1862. How did the military campaigns differ? What were the major battles and turning points of each?
  4. Compare and contrast the armies and navies of the Union and Confederacy at the start of the war through 1862. What types of men volunteered to fight and why? How were the armies organized and mobilized? What were the military advantages and disadvantages of each side?
  5. Write a comprehensive and detailed essay that analyzes and assesses the Generalship of Robert E. Lee and George B. McClellan during the period of the war from August 1862 through November of 1862.

When responding to your essay questions, keep in mind that they are essays and not short answer questions. Essays should be detailed and have resources to support factually based comments.

Any quotations, specific information, and ideas drawn from your reading must be cited and referenced in APA format.

Each essay should be a minimum 1– 2 pages (250–500 words) in length, not including references.

All three answers should be done in one word document.
