Case Diagnosis
Case Diagnosis At this point in the course, you have reviewed a great number of psychiatric diagnoses and have begun to solidify your approach to assessment of psychopathology. For this assignment, review a sport psychology case, develop your own diagnostic impressions, and provide a plan for further evaluation of the case.
To get started, select an appropriate case study example from the Argosy University Online Library. There are several sources within the library that can provide you with the appropriate resource to complete this assignment. Please see your instructor if you have any questions about a particular resource.
Next, complete the intake assessment form you developed earlier in the course. Fill in as much of the data as you can from the facts of the case. Then, create your diagnostic impressions, selecting at least three possible diagnoses you would consider for this case.
Finally, write a brief assessment plan that would enable you to gather further evaluation data. It should include at least four separate sources or methods of data collection. Click here to download the template to create the diagnosis and assessment plan. Present the intake assessment form in Microsoft Word document format. Name the file
SP6005_M5_A2_lastname_firstinitial.doc. By the due date assigned, submit it to the Discussion Area. Create a two- to three-page diagnosis and assessment plan in Microsoft Word document format and submit to the Discussion Area, through the end of the module.
Through the end of the module, use the Discussion Area to review and respond to the questions submitted by at least two of your classmates. Participate in the discussion by asking questions, providing or asking for statements of clarification, and drawing conclusions.
