Hello Class and Welcome to Taormina. We are a leading company in the electronics industry, and we’re glad to take you on as a new employee for our training department.

Deborah will a served as the Director of Training and Development.

Her role is to guide you through your new position as a Training Specialist.

Week 1 Training

Hey Everyone

This weeks lesson was full of great advice on how to determine the root cause of issues surrounding the workplace. It allows you to feel like you are involved in the process to correct workplace concerns and gives excellent real-world experience. As the video discusses you will need to create a needs analysis, which starts with the Organizational Gap. The Gap is the difference between the actual and expected organizational performance. Also, it is imperative to allow your employees to discuss concerns about the workplace, such as in the video you can conduct one on one interviews with employees. Addressing concerns with employees will enable the company insight into how your employees are feeling and gives them a voice that will be heard and hopefully can cause changes for the better within the company. Once this has been done, it is critical to initiate a plan to correct the issues, for this company it seems like the employees feel they need more training and development to improve sales and increase morale.
